[Guide] Everything to know about The Bridge (2024)

DISCLAIMER: I did not make this thread. Some of you will know that this is literally a direct copy of @Adam's guide. You'd be right. Adam soon will be no longer using the forums, and as such decided that allowing some forumers to run their guides in their absence. The objective of The Bridge is to cross the 1-block-wide bridge from your base to your opponent's base and jump in their portal to score a goal. Each time a teammate jumps into the opposing team's portal, your team scores a point and all players are re-spawned at the starting gates. Note that the map does not reset each round, all the blocks that you build will stay on the map until the end of the game! The first team to score 5 goals wins.

To play The Bridge, join the game via the NPC in the Prototype Lobby, to join the Prototype lobby, you can do any of the following:

By right-clicking the compass in your hotbar and choosing The Prototype Lobby
By right-clicking the compass in your hotbar and choosing The Bridge
By doing the command /lobby PTL OR /l PTL

There are currently five modes of The Bridge that you can play: 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, 2v2v2v2 and 3v3v3v3 Party up with your friends and see how well you do!

As stated above, you can choose to play from five different gamemodes of The Bridge. Two team gamemodes have one goal, and that's to score 5 points before the other team does. Four team gamemodes have a different goal, and that's to keep scoring to gain lives before other teams drain your lives and lose. Choose to play from:

1v1 Mode:
Total of 2 players, fight solo in a 1v1 duel to cross the bridge and score more goals than your opponent.
2v2 Mode:
Total of 4 players, fight with another teammate in a team of 2 to cross the bridge and score more goals than your opponent.
4v4 Mode:
Total of 8 players, fight with 3 other teammate in a team of 4 to cross the bridge and score more goals than your opponent.
2v2v2v2 Mode:
Total of 8 players, fight in teams of 2 to score goals and steal lives from 3 other enemy teams. Scoring goals gains lives for your team while getting scored on removes lives. Last team standing wins.
3v3v3v3 Mode:
Total of 12 players, fight in teams of 3 to score goals and steal lives from 3 other enemy teams. Scoring goals gains lives for your team while getting scored on removes lives. Last team standing wins.
